"The Lord said to Moses,"I will also do this thing of which you have spoken; for you have found favor in my sight and, and I know you by name." (Exodus 33:17 NASB)
Here we find God's response to Moses's heart filled plea to preserve His people. Moses knew he could not and would dare not continue to lead the children of Israel without God's presence going with them. Moses brings up something very important which we would be wise to take note of. "What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?" (Exodus 33:16)
I remember smelling the sweet aroma this flower was emitting, before taking this picture of a Hummingbird Moth collecting it's pollen. The Hummingbird Moth will take this flower's nectar and feed it to it's larvae.
God's presence is like a sweet aroma that permeates the whole atmosphere. Let us learn from Moses the importance and awareness of our desperate need of HIS presence!
Just like Moses, God calls you and me by name and desires to give us HIS favor. I believe God's favor is a direct response to the honest and earnest cries from our hearts seeking to dwell in HIS presence.
